Food areas are important in a Casino also.
The selection of machines is really good. How ever the restaurants and eating area need vast improvements. All day breakfast is not available after 12 noon anywhere. The main restaurant does not have breakfast at all. The District eating area that sell at entrance to casino is very expensive and very small portions. The only place that sell breakfast sandwich is Starbucks small and pricey. The dining area tables and seats are sparse and very cheap. Could I recommend Absolutly would not recommend. Staff at Starbucks very helpful and pleasant.

    Disgusting
Clean it up and train your staff how to speak to paying customers properly! I honestly always have positive things to say about Casinos and staff, but I have never been so disgusted on how I was treated at this casino! Never again will they see a dime from me. Filthy areas not fit for a dog, staff yelling at customers (not just me btw), machines malfunctioning, ticket redemption all not working for hours causing ridiculous delays and line ups….what a horrible experience it was …..back to Heron and Rama I go! I’ve been going to Casinos for over 40 yrs and have never had such a bad experience. I honestly have nothing good to say about it ……sorry Pickering but I won’t be back.

    Overpriced Food and Drinks
Food and drinks overpriced if you can find someone to serve you.. $32.00 for 2 Corona drafts? Give me a break. We ended up going down the road to the to the Portly Piper for a nice affordable meal and good service.

    Disappointing
Confusing when approaching resort. Make it easier to customers with better signage. Room was excellent, clean. The disappointment was the Restaurants. Food courts comes to mind. I felt as if I were in a lunch room. , Poor service in Casuals bar, only one table in entire dining room and we sat at the bar for apps and drinks. Apps were very good, but as we were still eating the bartender ask how are we paying the bill. I told him when we are finished our meal. Second time in was told the is a 3 max. when at the bar or entering the casino. I was not drinking and driving, makes no sense. I am just saying this should have been a better experience. We go out to casino's twice a year and this by far was not the most pleasant one.

    Could be so much better
Good luck finding where you're going the first time, signs are stupidity small and in hard to see areas. Hotel wasn't bad, one pillow had a stain and there was some dirt on the dovet but otherwise the room was spacious and quite nice. The casino was a casino, plenty of different games to lose your money on, haha. The problem was the restaurant - Copperhorn. Food tasted alright but was definitely overpriced for what it was, service was really awful.

    this casino is a joke
i want to give zero star but can't. I am a summit level member, I buy over $5000 chips every month to play table games but still not able to qualify for promotional gift like a towel set. Meanwhile patrons play slot machines spend hundreds of dollars qualified for promotional gift. What a joke, don't know what kind of rating system they are having. Even I switch to play slot machine, their guest representative would say some like depends on how you play on the table games, eventually you are not getting any promotional gift at all!

    Not very good casino
Very low payout on the slot machines. If you ever go here, just look around, 99% or more of the people have frowns on their faces. Almost nobody wins, I've never seen a hand pay once! At Niagara I've seen lots of hand pays! The parking is designed very poorly And if you play Blackjack, the dealer HITS on soft 17; At Niagara and Casinorama,, the dealer must stand on a soft 17. These people are just here to take your money If you go, good luck But just remember..look around and you'll see that nobody wins here

    Parking lot Disaster
came for a concert, venue was fine but the parking lot was something to be desired. Majority of people could not find where they parked their car because of the screwed up design. Once you did find your car, it then took an hour to get out. VERY poorly designed.

    Bullsh!t - all of it.
Complete bullsh!t. We came for The Tea Party concert and could not get out of the parking garage because they only have one exit. We sat in traffic for 45 mins and didn't move an inch during that time. Don't waste your time with this casino in Pickering. This might be the worst run casino in North America.

    Beautiful hotel horrid manager
Beautiful hotel horrible manager. I cannot believe how I was spoken to by the manager here. Approached in the lobby and spoken to with such a harsh tone for not reading fine print. I thought hospitality staff liked people. This one made it difficult to enjoy the stay. Couldn’t wait to leave.

All I can say is Great Canadian and Gateway has ruined most people's thoughts on what is a great Casino. They should leave the casino to be run by the natives 100% then maybe they can see how a casino is run properly.

Save your money and make a trip to Vegas or Atlantic City where you get appreciated as a customer and where you will be in a casino that feels and looks like a casino.
Why do we have to take money out of Canada to enjoy something very few can provide us here?

Fallsview is the best we have in Ontario and is managed by Mohegan Sun if u been to Fallsview there is no comparison whoever is in charge, there doing it right and if you want to be treated as an adult with great C/S comps go across the Niagra border to Seneca.
I will still go to our casinos once in a while so I can make reviews until I see positive changes in our casinos.

Sad living in downtown Toronto it takes longer by transit to get to Woodbine Casino than to Fallsview. Pickering is not much better. Fallsview at least has charter buses or take the Mega bus and you're there in 90 min. The last visit to Woodbine took 120 minutes by transit. No easy way to get there. I hope Doug brings a real Vegas-style casino to downtown Toronto like Mohegan Sun, MGM/Ceasars or Ballys. This will put Toronto on the map. Do you hear anyone get excited to go to a Great Canadian casino...Exactly my point. Who wants to play in a warehouse?

today is 03/19/2023 my last day at this casino

over the last 3 weeks I have attended the slots for abot 25 times a few hrs each day.

I sent a e mail about repeat bet buttons on 2 machines unable to be dpressed and when I attempted to send another the next day I found my emails wont go thru.

The tea dispenser inside the main entrance hasn t worked for at least 2 weeks now.

When I tried 2 days in a row to cash out on one machine I had to wait 10 minutes for a tech to attend to get it to work

Today was the final draw I placed a voucher in a machine , which someone had left .21 cents in as displayed.
the machine took the voucher but failed to display more than .21 cents.
after 20 minutes from turning the service light on, I spoke to the cashier nearby who ntfd the manager and a tech turned up.

After he heard my story he opened the machine, displayed history and said " no you did not put it in .

I fel rather than calling me wrong he could have lifted the lid of the box of received vouchers to check if mine was there .

Of course the machine could not be wrong

I told him keep the money because I won t be back .

The casino is like any other casino, things were fine. But you better hope you don’t have to go to the bathroom. Every bathroom is constantly closed for cleaning and they leave them closed for 45-60 minutes. I have been several times and every single time I am at the Pickering Casino it’s nearly impossible to use the restroom.

If you're going to see a concert allow minimum an extra half an hour (maybe even an hour) to get from the road into the parking lot. BRUTAL!
