    Splashtown Niagara - Deceptively Magical
I have to be honest and say that when we first arrived at Nickle Beach and saw the Splashtown Niagara setup floating way out in the water, my 13-year-old daughter was more than a little sad at how it looked. "We've been hoodwinked," she whispered, "It's nothing like the image on the website." And I have to admit, I thought we'd been scammed, too. But since we drove all the way from Toronto, we figured we'd give it a shot and then we'd head to Niagara Falls for the afternoon. So we signed in, got our wristbands and lifejackets and began the long swim all the way out to the floating obstacle course (did I mention how genuinely kind and helpful the onshore staff were? Yeah, they were pretty amazing). When we got there and managed to haul ourselves aboard the floating park, it was terrifyingly difficult to stand because of the motion of the water. But I have to say, once we all got our sea-legs, we had the most awesome time EVER! As a family, we've never had so much fun. We laughed and laughed and laughed for 3 solid hours. We swam back to shore and rested for a couple of hours and then we headed back for more fun. We finally left the park just before 7pm, completely and utterly exhausted and sunburnt to a crisp (and this morning I'm so sore I can barely move), but it was totally worth every penny we spent. If you get a chance, go. You won't regret it.

    Wonderful summer experience!
I was there with 8 kids aged 6 to 13 and they all loved it. Stayed from open to close. The park is pretty far out so for 5 and 6 year olds I suggest that someone help them get out there. It is a big swim and they may not be able to do it on their own.

10/10! Great park at a great beach!
Wow! I saw lots of hype for this park on social media so I thought I would check it out. I was a little hesitant with how far the park is from beach, but I was VERY HAPPY that I was able to easily walk 3/4 of the distance. Even the last bit is a very easy swim as there was no current I had to fight. The park it self is very impressive. It starts at a start finish line and leads to an central island. From there you can go 4 different ways. The whole park is set up as a race (2 lanes on each obstacle) but is obviously doable as lone competitor. I would say my personal favorite is the adventure tour(it's like a giant cliff with a slide on one side!). Imagine cliff jumping without the hard work of having to hike up a trail to jump! Long story short, I will be buying a season pass! This place is seriously cool. Hangout on the beach, catch some sun, the go run around and challenge people yo a race. It's a great time! 10/10 would totally recommend this park!

Terrible experience. Only learned you need to swim to the splashdown until we arrived. No such information on website when I exploring on their website. The staff said it's in the waiver, but the waiver came after I made purchase and the link in the email didn't work. That's, you won't know you need to swim there before you made the purchase.
I'm not a swimmer, impossible for me to swim to the splashdown. It's non refundable.

A ton of fun for my athletic 9 yo daughter, not as much fun for my more fearful 7 yo daughter - or me! I wish there were more “safe” routes. This was a physical challenge for me to even keep up with my older kid. I fell quite a few times and was aching the next day. Mostly that is a “me” problem but I wish there were some easier spots to navigate. Cool concept. Swimming out to the splash pad was a bit laborious but overall a fun experience for the kids! Also a good location with not much else to do when we vacationed along the beach.

Took my kids to Splashtown Niagara in Port Colborne yesterday. I didn't go on the structure myself but my 2 children did. They said they had such a good time. They said the lifeguards were fun and friendly. The staff on shore were also pleasant. They are bugging me when to go back again!

Our family of 4 went to Splashtown at Nickel Beach for the first (and not the last) time last Wednesday. We had an absolute blast. Our 6 and 9yo kids did multiple runs around the obstacle courses. It felt really safe as the structure felt super strong and stable. It was even for us adults. We went during the day on Wednesday and it was not too crowded. It was the perfect day. After we were done, we spoke to Derek (the owner and organizer) about how much we loved it. He's a super stand-up guy and you can tell that he just wants everyone to have a good time. We can't wait to come back with all of our friends!

The beach is way too smelling like I was about to throw up.There should be boats to reach to the splashtown. I bought the ticket of the splash town But could not go there. The parking is very expensive. And as it shows it the parking will be on the beach… it’s far away from the beach. The only positive thing the washrooms were clean but no shower place.
Please improve and show it on your marketing ads will definitely want these things to come to Toronto

Our group of friends planned to have a fun day at the splash pad but it was ruined by the rude female staff who can’t talk to us like civilized people. She has to shout at all of us even though she can come closer and explain what she demands us to do.

I have to paddle to the splash pad to pick up small kids (ages 6,7) they were too tired to swim back plus it was really a cold day (Sept 4th). The lifeguards at the splash pad agreed for me to take them since they understand the situation. But as we almost reach the shore, this lady/dragon started shouting at us. She was pissed that i helped the small kids back to the beach.
She was a fun killer, she definitely ruined the day! She can’t even have an exception for small kids.

I would not recommend this company, never again!!!!!

Me and my family were there on Wednesday with a 9 and 13 years old. When we arrived we realized the pictures were not the same as what was posted. The water inflatable park was actually very small (pictures posted on the website are deceitful). The lifeguards at the desk where you check in are not friendly at all, they were very rude and didn’t care (young girls). They do not let you go to your car with the life jacket on, I guess because people in the past stole them so they were afraid… I wasn’t not pleased at all with this crazy rule I should be able to go to my car for a sip of water without having to go return my jacket to do so. There was no rain or thunder but they were saying because there was a possibility of it happening they would make everyone exit the inflatables. My experience wasn’t great go to the one in Barrie it’s much better, and you don’t have to pay 50 dollars to park at Nickel Beach.
