We went to see a Christmas panto and it was our first time at the Capitol Theatre. While Port Hope has many wonderful attractions this must be the jewel. Beautifully restored and not a bad seat in the house.

We have been to four musicals over the last years and every one of them was fantastic! It's an historic theatre, and the ambiance is wonderful. The singing was top notch, the choreography truly professional and the staging excellent. I would highly recommend this theatre and for any musical production, they match any big city performance!

We went to see the "Naughty "Panto Snow White in December. We were a group of 7 between 23 and 57 years of age. We all loved this show. This is the third Panto we have been to at the Capital Theatre and we have loved them all. There is not a bad seat in the house. It is nice... More

It's a great little theatre, one of the few remaining 'atmospheric' theaters in North America. Good sized stage, very good sound system and projection effects. We go every year for the Christmas pantomime. This year we saw the adult or 'naughty' version Snow White panto, it was excellent, very funny and entertaining.

Great theatre company in a great location. The modern (adult) version of Snow White is very funny. Highly recommended.

Love having something such as the Capitol in town! And the ticket prices are always reasonable. We've been to 2 different shows here this year alone and will be sure to see more next year! Staff are always friendly and helpful!

Every summer we go to Port Hope at least once or twice because of the great time we have at the Capitol Theatre. The shows are excellent and the actors amazing. The building is very nice and all the staff-volunteers very pleasant..

Mama Mia was an extended smash hit; the actors were amazing; Antonio just keeps getting better and better with innovation and technology effects. I love this Theatre more and more every time I go; the atmosphere is relaxing and the setting so realistic.

While in Port Hope we decided to see live theatre and was directed here. We saw the play "The Odd Couple". The theatre is beautiful inside. It looks like your outside on a street with the ceiling sky blue with lights twinkling as stars. The play was fantastic!
