I'm a local so I've been here several times, even once on a four wheeler. They're accessible on the Millinium Trail, that's right by the golf course in Wellington. They have all sorts of events going on that attracts both locals and tourists but the best thing about this place is their wine. They combine interesting flavours without it taking... More

Nice plank bar. Good red fortified wine eclectic staff. Other wines not to my taste. In cold barn with strangely constructed little warm room in the corner.

Thank you for your kind words about our red fortified. During the hight of the season, our whole barn is used as our tasting room but during the coldest months of the winter, when there is not much foot traffic, we retreat into the original milking parlour as we have been able to winterize this section of the barn. We... More

We spent a lively noon hour at the winery sampling a few of their aromatic and flavourful wines. The hosts were very welcoming and took time to engage in conversation with us even though there were a number of groups visiting making for lively atmosphere. We enjoyed some tasty food and purchased a few bottles of their superb red wines.... More

We've been to Karlo Estates many times, and always have a great experience. The wines are delicious (especially the red and white ports), the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the unique pairings (BBQ peanuts, potato chips) are a nice touch.

My wife and I landed in for the second time. Much like last time the staff could be more helpful and genuine. After finding an employee who was willing to talk we managed to get a seat in the back. We had a couple of the nibbler plates while trying the wine. Tried the Niagara Peninsula Riesling, the three witches... More

Loved the atmosphere of the old barn, with friendly staff. I wasn't a huge fan of the wine, but obviously that's all personal taste. I am happy I went and recommend.

I have been doing wine and taste tour fundraisers for Quinte Immigration (QUIS) for the last 4 years. We do two per year and stop at various wineries, breweries, food stops, etc. Karlo Estates has been a part of 4 of our 7 tours now and most recently we stopped there on October 8th. Our group normally ranges from 25... More

We visited six wineries during our Saturday tour in Prince Edward County. Our hired driver picked the destinations for us and Karlo Estates was included on our five hour tour. I won't rate or rank the many wines we had during the day at all these places but I will say that Karlo Estates was the most electric environment we... More

We came here as part of a wine tour and got a chance to see the barn and facilities as well as sample some very very nice wines. Sherry (the owner/vintner) was very nice as was the girl at the bar serving us (whose name escapes me). We have a nice time chatting and getting the history of winery and... More

Karlo Estates Winery was the last stop on our Prince Edward County exploration trip. We arrived to an empty rustic barn which serves as the tasting area. . Three of the wines we had wanted to try and purchase were sold out we were told by the girl working the tasting bar. So we decided that we should stay and... More
