We spent such a lovely day here . Strolling along Lovers Lane, viewing the Farm House & reading all the information about Lucy Maud Montgomery in the Interpretive Centre.

This is really a must see and on the way, you can also take in the national park. We not only toured the house and outbuildings, but also several of the trails, which brought to mind what I'd read in the book. Such a beautiful place--no wonder there she wrote a series of books about it!

The grounds are very pretty with lovely gardens. House was open for self-guided tours. It was very crowded, even on a rainy dreary day.

The countryside near Green Gables is beautiful and not what we expected of PEI. The site had lovely trails and it is possible to walk to Lucy Maud Montgomery's home from there also. The buildings at Green Gables are in excellent shape, and the house gives you a true idea of what the furniture etc would have been like in... More

I really enjoyed going through the house that helped inspire the book. There were two trails outside the house and it gave you a feel for how Lucy Laud Montgomery loved nature and PEI. I only did the house tour and did not do Montgomery's childhood home. After looking at pictures that were posted at the ticket window, the childhood... More

A must-see when visiting PEI (imho!)...after reading many of the Green Gables books my grandma gave me as a child to my daughter, I took her there when she was 8 & she LOVED it. This past summer took her daughter (who is 9) to Green Gables! She hasn't (yet?!) read the books, and had no knowledge of "Anne", but... More

My Wife had to see this place and read the books when she was a young girl. She had a nice time as did my daughter and son who learned a lot about life in the old days. Some nice walking paths are on site too. Check it out!
