If you love Anne of Green Gables this is the place for you. It's not cheap to get in but very interesting. You can walk through the haunted forest (it's not really haunted) and visit the house which I loved. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Ample amount of picnic areas and bathrooms.

As a non lover of all things Anne I ventured here with family on a busy weekday in August. Guide told us that 3k people were through the grounds the day before. The day started with a brief 7 min video of LM Montgomery which was informative. After video, a staff member toured us through the grounds and explained the... More

Pros- A nice restoration of authentic past, quotes from L.M. Montgomery herself as she visited this place frequently. Cons- very poor parking - as in not enough. (there's green space that could be made into more spaces , very busy and touristy

I visited Anne's home several years ago and it was so good to return. She has made a lot of friends in that time. She was available for photographs and did not enjoy being called Carrots by those impish menfolk. The house tour was very well planned and I enjoyed speaking to the young fellow that met us at the... Yes I read most of all the stories wrote by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Yes I also watched on TV all the series about Ann of Green Gables and even Avonlea and I really loved them. But to tell you the thruth I did not see the interest in visiting this house. First of all, the house is located in a... More

Having read LM Montgomery’s books as a child, I just couldn’t skip a visit to the famous Green Gables when on PEI. Visited the small farm and barn, saw the short intro movie, toured the house (constant line-up and moving from one room to another when the person ahead of you is done etc) and briefly walked the two short... always nice to go and look around, especially if you are familiar with the story. shows the farmhouse and a barn, then if you are adventurous, you can go for a hike down a trail - which we didn't do... but nice regardless..
