- RollandButterDunfermline, United Kingdom28 contributionsEnergetic performanceAn excellent evening's entertainment. Clinton hills is a beautiful venue sitting up a hill with great views. We opted for the pre show meal which was very good and the interaction with the staff was a bonus. However the meal is served quite a time before the show. High energy performance by all on stage, and if you are not clapping your hands and stamping your feet then you need your pulse checked! It is also informative, with the background history of the Acadian culture being interesting to island visitors.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten August 2, 2023
- Paul CHamilton, Canada2 contributionsHand-clappin', Passionate PerformanceThe Ross Family are amazing performers who put their heart and soul into their music and entertainment. Loved how they incorporated stories about their family, ancestors, and history of the music they performed. It was also a treat to have their mother Dorothy come on stage and dazzle with her dancing during the 2nd half of the show! Kudos to Stephanie for sharing her beautiful voice and musical talents even though she is still experiencing long-lasting affects of the virus. It's wonderful that they are sharing and preserving the Celtic & Acadian culture. Such an enjoyable performance at beautiful barn venue in Clinton Hills! Thank you Stephanie, Danielle & Johnny, and so glad I could have my photo taken with you!Visited August 2022Written August 11, 2022
- Sherry M3 contributionsDon’t miss this!!Excellent!! We enjoyed the performance very much. Uncomfortable chairs is the only drawback. We’d recommend anyone visiting to see this show. The highlight was the Ross family ‘s mom step dancing with her family on the last number.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten September 13, 2023

Spectacular music, storytelling, and performances by The Ross Family Ceilidh in Charlottetown PEI!
This sibling trio should be opening for The Chicks or HAIM or touring on their own.

This was my first ceilidh and it was the best experience on the island. I have never been so moved by this musical experience. The talent, music and stories were emotional and moving. I did not want the experience to end.

Great performance and definitely family friendly! They have a huge amount of energy! Make sure you choose to see them at the Clinton Hills location and not The Guild. The Guild location is not as comfortable and they didn’t fix the sound issue for the whole show!

It's a step dancing, fiddling and singing tour de force, with the equivalent energy of a Bruce Springsteen concert. A window into Celtic and Acadian cultures preserved by the relative isolation of PEI, with a good dose of lighthearted information about Prince Edward Islanders themselves. The 2 sisters and 1 brother are immensely talented singers, dancers, and musicians. Probably the best performance I'll see in 2019 across all genres.
The venue is in an enormous barn that has been modernized and turned into a performing arts venue. Full bar available.
About 45-minute drive from Charlottetown. The group also plays regularly in Charlottetown.

The 3 members of the group performed with seemingly endless energy. Their mother joined in some of the step dancing. The barn is not your average barn.

A really enjoyable evening of music in a gorgeous country setting. Midway break with meat pie and ice cream and fruit. The floor boards were vibrating, everyone stomping and clapping along.
