The lighthouse is close to town and provides good spot for taking photos of the lighthouse and the town. Nice spot to stop at, but not a must visit lighthouse.
The gift shop at the lighthouse is very good though and is a nice spot to find small gifts/souvenirs.

What we liked most about this lighthouse was that it involved a proper tour, with explanations and the opportunity to ask questions. None of us knew anything about sea glass prior to coming here, and when we left we felt we had learned something interesting that we could share with others.
The view is good, depending on the weather conditions of course, but the focus is more on the lighthouse itself.
They have a great little gift shop right next door with lots of PEI souvenirs and interesting items. I was quite taken with the book selection of local and regional history.
Well worth a visit.

A great view from the top for those that aren't afraid of heights and if you can fit up the tiny vertical staircase inside. :) Do the PEI lighthouse tour around the island and you can get well over 60 lighthouses. I did most of it in 2 days of constant driving around 2000 and got photos of 60+ PEI lighthouses.

It was a rainy, windy day and I was returning to my nearby motel, after visiting a very underwhelming lighthouse, in another area of the island. Despite the weather, I spontaneously decided to make a quick stop at this lighthouse. I am so happy that I did! It is $5. to tour the inside and well worth the fee (plus the money goes towards lighthouse maintenance and restoration). Once you are inside, you walk up moderately steep steps to the 2nd floor, where there is a fascinating and very informative display of sea glass and it's history. Another flight of very steep and narrow stairs, takes you to old lighthouse mechanisms and the actual light. You can go outside to the viewing platform, which is very cool. Great view of the harbor and ferry. I also found some beautiful prints and other unique items in the gift shop next door. I ended up by staying much longer than I had anticipated and really enjoyed this visit.

We were traveling on motorcycle on May 24th and happened to drive by this location. The ferry dock caught my eye then saw this lighthouse. We were allowed to go inside the lighthouse and all the way to the top. It was open for self guided tours. We walked around on the deck and could see a long way. We have seen many lighthouses, but first time allowed to get inside. It was a good experience and just donated $5 for the upkeep in a box by the front door. Gift shop was open next door,

This lighthouse is very close to Routes 2/16 and the ferry terminal. There is a lovely view over the harbor. It is a bit of a challenge to climb inside the lighthouse, but it is open, and free. There is an open view of 360 degrees at the top, and along the climb up there is an interesting video, maps, and photos.
This lighthouse gave a good view as to what lighthouses were like in the day and what being a lighthouse keeper was like too.
This is worth an hour stop. There is a gift shop and bathrooms next to the parking lot.

Souris Lighthouse was a last-minute addition to our plans, and we weren't expecting to be so impressed with this site!
The lighthouse is very scenic, located on a seaside cliff and surrounded by Lupins. For $5 a person you can climb the lighthouse. Each level was quite interesting - with a large sea glass display, and the opportunity for a close look at a lighthouse lens. On the top level you can go out of a little hatch and stand on the balcony. The view is spectacular and it is a surprisingly exciting experience.
The gift shop was also one of the best we saw in P.E.I. and a great place to pick up some sea glass if you aren't able to find any on the beaches.

Take the climb and lean over the edge and view the harbor. Watch the locals fish, and work in the cove. Great shop for some momentos.
