About
Local theatre playhouse in the Village of Victoria by the Sea. Shows run all summer long - check out their website for listings. Very reasonable pricing. We were delighted to get tickets to Follow The Fiddler - a narrated walking tour of Victoria. This was an 'outdoor' play - we followed The Narrator, Erskine Smith, and The Fiddler through town and actors came out from behind a building; etc. and acted out a scene; told tales; sang songs. And as we walked away from each scene our narrator said; and now we'll follow the fiddler and as we walked strolled the streets lovely Cynthia MacLeod entertained us with Celtic fiddle tunes. Have never done anything quite like this. It was delightfully entertaining and one of the highlights our our Prince Edward Island trip. Perfect for all ages too!

We love this beautiful little theater in Victoria. Each summer When we visit from the states we make sure to get tickets to whatever is playing. This year we saw beyond the sea. It was a very slow start so we were a little concerned at first… However, the two-person cast is very talented. They drew us in and kept us interested until the finish. It was thought-provoking and lighthearted. There’s so much talent on PEI we highly recommend visiting theater while you’re here!

Another entertaining show at this community theater.
Lots of laughs and folksy music. Some of his funniest lyrics are so dark he could be the Stephen King of comedy. We are new fans of Mr. Elliott!
Love this intimate theater!

This is the second summer we have attended a play at this lovely little playhouse. Both plays we saw were charming and very enjoyable. There isn't a bad seat in the house! We are now making it a family tradition to attend at least one play here each summer.

We saw a terrific play, The (Post)Mistress, by Tomson Highway last month. I bought tickets on-line, in advance, which was easy. The staff were efficient. The sightlines and acoustics were great.

Thanks for your comments. We loved The (Post) Mistress too. We were especially pleased to produce a work by an award-winning Canadian Cree playwright. We hoe to see yo back at the Playhouse again soon.

One of the best, if not THE best performance we've ever seen at the Victoria Playhouse. Norm Foster's Kiss the Sun is superbly acted and directed, and a perfect fit for the historic Victoria Playhouse. We enjoyed the performance so much, we will return with visitors later this summer.

The vaudeville show 'Top Hats and Tales' was playing at the time and was very enjoyable. The actors were experienced professionals and have perfected their performance over a number of years and numerous venues. The Playhouse itself is well constructed with comfortable seats and has a true traditional feel.

We took advantage of a theater package offered by the Orient Hotel B&B that included tickets to this charming theater. The Show "Top Hats & Tales" was very enjoyable. The entertainers are accomplished in their fields and were able to easily engage the audience. The venue is a beautiful playhouse that is worth a visit.

This year we arrived, as usual , in good time so that we could stroll around this delightful village by the sea. The theatre accomodates those who cannot climb the front entrance steps. There is a side door they are pleased to open for you. The play itself was well done : the acting, set, costumes, lighting.

The plays are always well performed by excellent talent in this small, AIR CONDITIONED theater. We have never been disappointed by a show. It is great entertainment at a very reasonable price.
