Local theatre playhouse in the Village of Victoria by the Sea. Shows run all summer long - check out their website for listings. Very reasonable pricing. We were delighted to get tickets to Follow The Fiddler - a narrated walking tour of Victoria. This was an 'outdoor' play - we followed The Narrator, Erskine Smith, and The Fiddler through town and actors came out from behind a building; etc. and acted out a scene; told tales; sang songs. And as we walked away from each scene our narrator said; and now we'll follow the fiddler and as we walked strolled the streets lovely Cynthia MacLeod entertained us with Celtic fiddle tunes. Have never done anything quite like this. It was delightfully entertaining and one of the highlights our our Prince Edward Island trip. Perfect for all ages too!

My husband and I were here for the opening night of "The Melville Boys". We ordered tickets ahead of time and had great seats. It's a wonderfully small and intimate playhouse and we had a great time.

This venue was recommended to us as a great way to spend the evening and it did not disappoint. It is a small theatre with 150 seats, quite comfortable, in an old school house. Victoria is on the south coast of PEI and even though...More

Hello, We are pleased you enjoyed your evening with us at the Victoria Playhouse. I thought you would be interested to know that the Victoria Community Hall (which houses the Victoria Playhouse) was never a schoolhouse. It was built in 1914-1915 as a performance hall...More

Been to the Playhouse many times and always have enjoyed the play. Theatre is small but quite cozy and intimate. Victoria itself is a quaint little village that enjoys many tourists in summer months.

Took in a play while in Victoria, called Ropes End. Wasn't sure what to expect, but was rewarded with an excellent show. Only two actors, and minimal set, but great story and even better performance by the actors.

We saw a daytime performance of Sexy Laundry. The two actors were fantastic. The theatre is true to it's reputation, "a hidden gem...an historic building and an intimate theatre." The daytime performance was sold out as there was a tour group, so get your ticket...More

We are pleased you enjoyed the matinee performance of SEXY LAUNDRY. Just a small note to correct - we actually have three not two washrooms. And as our late artistic director, Erskine Smith, used to say - "intermission is as long as the washroom line-up"....More

A wet evening didn’t dampen our spirits despite having driven all the way from Cavendish to catch the performance here. It's a very small theatre, with simple and perhaps dated seating. The play was about collections of memories from the island, which was gathered from...More

We try and get here once a summer as it is such an intimate little theater. They offer about three different plays over the summer. Usually something to suit everyone's taste in theater.

This theater is a most go place if you are on the island in the summer. It has some of the best shows and it is a delightful place to visit.
