We had a great time at cime. We first stayed at an open lot 209. We had a small tent and asked reception if we could change to a wooded site. Luckily the accommodated us and found a wooded spot for us for the remainder of our time. We would have left early due to tons of rain which left our stuff very wet.
The River was beautiful and went great.
The only complain i would have would be the tarps at the wooded site need to be replaced. We had to buy a tarp due to too much rain. Also having only one dryer machine as people were taking out our clothes to do theirs.
I definitely recommend staying here and staff were very pleasant and friendly

Dear Smilz2011, We are thrilled you had a great stay and that we found a way to upgrade you to a campsite with tarp in our peak season despite the fact that your originally had a open campsite. That's rare, we're happy for you! Thanks for letting us know about the tarps. We will definitely maintain the tarps that are installed on the site as we do annually. There is not really a way a tarp can replace an efficient tent and when it rains heavily, water and wind find their way. Most of our campers enjoy the tarps we have on each wooded sites, not many campsites offer that. We have installed a second dryer in the laundromat since you stayed with us. Sorry it was not in place when you came. Thanks for your comment on our team, we are proud and lucky to be working with all these wonderful humans! We hope to have you again in the future so you can see our continuous improvements. Thanks for sharing your impressions. Sincerely, Élodie Brideau

Our group of five canoes launched our Bonaventure River trip from Cime. Cime is a beautiful and well-serviced campground with very welcoming staff. We stayed at Cime the night before meeting up with our shuttle service. Come does not shuttle to Lac Bonaventure but did collaborate well with our shuttler service. From Lac Bonaventure we paddled to the sea after six days of paddling, five nights camping along the river. We camped at Cime for the sixth night. Cime maintains a few campsites along the lower section of the river which we enjoyed, especially one located close to the hiking trail to Chutes du Ruisseau Creux. Bonaventure River is a beautiful river. We enjoyed our camping at Cime both at the start and end of our trip. Highly recommend both Cime and canoe tripping on the Bonaventure River.

We came here because of the Bonaventure River. We joined the Famous Tour. We were not expert as we only played kayaking once or twice every year. So we were surprised that this six hour tour was not too difficult. The tour was well organized. We were brought to the upstream of the river (two yellow school buses). They had stuff to patrol in the river. The river itself was beautiful. We had never seen something like this before. We would like to do it again in the future.

Good equipment, people were nice. The equipment was ready, no wait at all because I filled everything online. The website and the payment on line was quite easy and went smoothly. This river is really a treasure that must be seen in a life.
I liked the experience 15 years ago in couple and also this year too with my 3 kids.

Dear OceanSeaShell, We are thrilled to read your review. Thanks for being prepared! I can feel you were also 5 star visitors! We hope to see you and your family again in the future, maybe for canoe-camping on the river to discover a longer portion of the Bonaventure treasure. The river adventure is such a beautiful experience. Although we have kayaked before my wife had not done rapids in a kayak. She was initially apprehensive, but given they were class one and two rapids, and the water level was high they were much more gentle than expected. As as you’re comfortable in a kayak, you should be fine even without prior rapids experience.

she ended up having a great time and the colour of the water was crystal. Clear blue green just like in the videos!

A definite YES! Very well organized, friendly staff, excellent equipment. The river is beautiful! You cannot imagine how clear the water is ... not a weed in sight! We did the "famous tour" by kayak (single), which was perfect.

Very bad experience, very bad customer service at the reception, dirty camp and they did not send us an email or call notifying our tour was cancelled. Not solutions offer by the staff. I recommend Find a better place and people that care of visitors.

We did the “mantinale” experience. Was amazing! A teensy bit long but that’s what we signed up for. Was a beautiful cruise down the river. The staff ensured we were well taken care of and felt safe. 10/10 recommend.

Dear Vanessa, Thanks for you visit and your review. We are thrilled you had a good day with us. We hope to welcome you again, maybe earlier in the season next year so you can discover a 2 day river section! We'll pass on the nice comment to our team. We wish you a great end of the summer. Kindly, Cime's team

My girlfriend and i camped on your grounds last yesterday (july 21st 2012) and felt the utmost need to review your campsite/resort. we found it extremly disapointing to spend 29 dollars with tax to rent a space of jagged gravel and rocks (this unfortuantly reminded me of my days in the infantry however then i got paid to be uncomfortable not pay to be uncomfortable) with no potable water, electricity, internet and be told that all facilities are extra. examples, 20 dollars per person for the hot tub, pay to use a shower, 5-12$ per person for a live show and approx 100$ for the two of us to rent a canoe for four hours. Not to mention extremly slow front desk service which takes approx 15minutes per costumer with lineup to the door and no english information posters, signs or flyers.

my girlfriend and i have been camping across this country as well as australia, united states, new zealand and south east asia and believe this was the worst value campsite we have stayed at. after spending three nights at the sea shack where for 15$ per person we recieved, a very comfortable campsite on the beach, use of kitchen, fridge, jaccuzzi, hot showers, internet and free live music each night not to mention 20$ for us to rent a canoe for the day that we will recommend them to fellow travellers and highly suggest they cross CIME Aventure off their list.

sincerly

We booked the "Sweet Escape" trip.
The reservation made through e-mails and phone calls went really well. Everyone was very helpful and professional (Soliel, Steven). They were quick to answer and answered all our questions.
We also had very good service at the front desk during our check-in/checkout.
We stayed one night in the "Atlantis Ecolodge" and it was a pleasant stay.

As for our 3 days on the river... what an amazing experience we had!
The river is so clear that you can see the bottom, the salmons. The colours are amazing, sometimes emerald green sometimes turquoise blue.
We were lucky enough to see many animals such as eagles, salmons jumping out of the water, a doe, ducks...
The water was so pure that we even filled up our bottles without filtering the water first. The scenery was just great, we only saw a few fishermen, else it was just us. The camping sites on the river banks were perfect, all the equipment was provided and in good conditions.
Our meals were cooked on the fire watching the sundown.
Our guide (Elaine) was great, she was not the kind of guide that just tells you what to do or not to do. She was part of our group, we had a lot of fun with her! We all agreed and were very pleased with her. She helped make this trip a great one.

One of us had a Gluten and Lactose allergy and all our meals were adapted thanks to the great chef (Denis). During the trip we had standard bread/pasta but also gluten free bread/pasta and lactose free products for our friend.
Even the Signature Dinner and the Breakfast Buffet were adapted to her needs. The Chef personally came to see us to make sure everything was ok. Awesome service!
Thank you all!!!
