I was expecting something similar to Omega Park in Montebello and was disappointed. I knew that you walk around and not drive around so obviously, the area is much smaller, but I saw that some animals were in need of more space (foxes, wolves etc turning nervously round and round) which made me uncomfortable. Also, I would have wanted to read more about the animals that were rescued, wanted to know more of their story. This would set a very good example to the children and families visiting. Our wildlife is beautiful, it needs to be saved and preserved. This is what sets apart a zoo and a wildlife preservation project.

Hello. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are aware that there are larger zoological institutions with larger spaces. However, the habitats at the Bioparc are all beyond the standards governing captive animals in Québec. Moreover, the long life expectancy of our animal (some break records), the low disease rates and the excellent health of our animals conform that our facilities are adequate. In addition, some species sometimes breed at the Bioparc, including the Canada goose, the white-tailed deer, the moose, the caribou, the red fox, the harbor seal and the black bear, which is a testament to their good living conditions. Several walkways allow to observe the animals from above, without having the fences in front of us. Our guides know our animals very well and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about their origins and behavior. In conclusion, we hope you still enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for your comments.

The zoo was nicely maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were not many animals but we found that the animals actually lived in a large cage. As a result, this was actually not a pleasant experience to follow the trail under the hot sun without seeing many animals. We understood pandemic hadn't passed. It was better if they could sell cold drink or ice cream. So the visitors could cool down and took a rest.

Such a lovely place...excellent Covid19 protection in place. So many beautiful animals to see in a semi wild environment. I would go again and again if I lived nearby.

Get there early after opening and you'll have the place to yourselves and the animals are more active. The seals were so playful and the foxes were a joy to watch run around.

We called in here on our way around the Gaspe peninsular. We thought it would be a good idea to see the animals of Canada, having failed to see moose on our 3 hour safari in the Matane reserve.

We really enjoyed it and got a really good look at everything except the Bald Eagle! The park was very clean and well organised and some cages were very large but having seen the Harper Seal in the St Lawrence River we thought their pool was much too small.

It was great to see beaver, moose, black bear, wolves, lynx, cougars, well all the animals! We had a great afternoon.

If you're in Bonaventure or near Bonaventure, it is a good activity to do. The visit can take from one to two hours to a little more depending on your speed and if you Watch animal feeding. The fees are average. With kids it must be a good visit. There is not a ton of animals but it is still a great visit. It gives you a good idea of the wildlife there is in the Gaspe peninsula (moose, seals, deers, bear, wolves, etc). We visited around 1pm and the animals were all active which was great. It's kind of a bummer when you visit a zoo and all the animals are sleeping! Also there is an insectarium. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a nice little snack bar in the zoo. Also there are some picnic tables in case you came with your lunch. They are doing renovations right now but it didn't bother us during our visit. I think it's a nice place to visit if you like animals.

Had a wonderful afternoon at the Bioparc. It is well maintained and very nice spot. We arrived near feeding time of some of the animals which was great as we followed them and got to see them being fed as well as learn about the animals from the staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
