We came here in the spring 2 days after the park reopened after being closed resulting from severe flooding from spring run off.
Although the water had come down; the falls and the rapids below were still quite turbulant and beautiful to view.

If you are passing through Fort-Coulonge you have to visit Chutes Coulonge they are simply breathtaking, summer or winter during their Festival of Lights.Make shure to bring your camera you will want to take pictures it's a must see.
The half day adventure should take 3 to 4 hours however the actual timing will depend on the fitness level and confidence of the participants. We did the zip lining and hiked a short trail and were there about 4 hours.
Besides the history available in the site's kiosk you can find more information about the whole area at the library in the Bryson House on the 148 just west of the Pont Marchand, the red covered bridge.
