As you walk around and inside the church, you will immediately note how well loved it is, seemingly endorsed by the most vested parishioners of any church.
The church was built in 1866 by Anglophone Protestants from both Canada the the US who were regular visitors to the region. They had been coming together to worship when the decision to build their own church was made.
It is perfectly maintained inside with beautiful stained glass windows throughout. A display is set up with plaques that document the history along with photos of those who have endorsed and invested in the church. One includes William Tuft, the 27th US president and his family. His daughter got married in that church, and apparently, the family and subsequent generations continue to visit and worship there.
La Malbaie has the great path along the St Lawrence, but otherwise there is less to do and see in town. We did not visit the museum.
