Inspiring Property
Aug. 2020 • Couples
Le Domaine Forget is a music and dance Academy, as well as a yearly International Music Festival located in Saint-Irénée, Charlevoix, Quebec. This gorgeous domain with several buildings and sculpture gardens overlooks the St Laurent River is managed by a non-profit organization. A Concert Hall opened in 1996 offering a variety of programs - (refer to website). Even if there are no venues available, it’s worth a walk through the property for the Sculptures, Architecture and picturesque views.

You do not need a car to get here ...you can take a bus from Quebec city ...Gare du Palais that were you pick up the bus..takes about 3 hrs..several stop along the river you pick and choose where you want to visit along the way..but this place should be on list ...very zen !!!

A must to visit and see if you are in the Charlevoix area. One of my favourite places to hear a concert in the world class concert hall.

A delightful experience

If you appreciate classical music, you'll enjoy an evening of live performance at this music camp. The hall is more intimate than a concert hall but very accommodating. Parking is ample, fees modest and the grounds are lovely. Who could want for more on a summer evening?

Beautiful Location to Admire Nature, Sculptures and Hear Music

If ever in La Malbaie region of Quebec one has to take a minimum of 2 hours to walk the grounds of Domaine Forget and discover numerous larger than life sculptures surrounded by many points of view and you will most probably have the chance to listen to some pianists or singer practice their art.

Sculpture Personified
Sep. 2015 • Couples
A fascinating sculpture park created on a steep hillside. We thought we would be visiting a building with sculpture as well but the park auditorium is for music venues which I imagine would be fantastic to enjoy. Unfortunately the music season of events was over so we drove through the park stopping at each hillside terrace to take pictures of terrific large works of sculpture and look out over the water. We were on our way to our B & B to check-in so we only spent about half an hour driving through. Literature was available inside the main hall but no one was around to answer questions...not a problem as the sculpture was viewing was enough of a treat.

Protégés and their music masters - What a glorious experience!
Jul. 2015 • Friends
Recently had the honour of visiting the grounds of this wonderful world renown music camp where masters of various musical instruments come during the summer months to further train young protégés from all over the world. The afternoon "Concert Apéro" provided me and my friend a wonderful opportunity to listen to a master of the viola and of the base, with a culmination of a 40 base ensemble that brought tears to my eyes. Later that evening we also had the honour of attending a concert by the young Canadian protégé Stéphane Tétreault.
What a glorious experience

Went for Sunday musical brunch. Very tasty and varied choices. Live music and a fantastic view of the St Lawrence Seaway make for a very enjoyable meal.
