Nice town with an olden time feeling. Good place to relax and walk around and enjoy a relaxed day. The town next to it is L'isle sur mer and that is also a cute and pretty town. Both the towns seem like nice spots to go out for a walk and away from the crowded streets of quebec city.

Great area for walks and hiking.
Large selection of shops, but not all at walking distance from hotel.

We stopped at the information bureau on the wharf and they directed us the historic downtown area of Montmagny. It was well worth the side trip to see some of the lovely old architecture and streets. It is quite a historic place and worth stopping if you are interested in learning about Quebec history.
