We stopped at the Promenade du Bassin to park our vehicle. We made our walks to go to the Pioneer Garden and the Parc du Marais.
The Montmagny Basin and the South River Falls are a great place to observe a wide variety of bird species especially for the tens of thousands of Greater Snow Geese that we can observe in the fall and spring.
Asphalt tracks allow pedestrians and cyclists to move easily through successful urban development. Several park benches, picnic tables and interpretive panels allow us to appreciate this beautiful place. The river station allows us to use the sanitary services and you will find self-service documentation. It is at the Montmagny river station that we can take the ferry, free of charge, to reach Isle-aux-Grues during the summer. The Promenade du Bassin is located on Route des Navigators, Route 132. Parking is free of charge.

This is a good place. There is plenty of benches around. It was very very clean. Had a good view of the ocean. The elephant sculpture were nice

This is park along the waterfront in Montmagny. At one end of the park is the visitor information center with lots of parking and easy access to the walkway along the waterfront. Washrooms available. The walk is not that long and takes about 15 minutes each way. As you walk you get a wonderful view of the salt marsh where there are often many different species of birds during migration. It also provides a good view of the St. Lawrence River and the falls. There are bilingual interpretative signs along the walk.

Recently visited this park. Very well maintained park with nice views of the waterfalls. Very worth visiting and the detour.
