We walked from the nearest village (about 15 minutes). The cenote is small and unfortunately from our point of view was spoilt by screaming kids zip-lining. If no visitors as just described it is a wonderful tranquil oasis. No food or drink and interesting snorkelling - lots of inquisitive fish. There are other cenotes worth visiting that are better than... More

This is one of the best cenotes I've visited. It's pretty accessible and is also close to Akumal which has a beautiful beach. This is an open cenote surrounded by a beautiful green landscape. There a few companies who take tourists in groups. When that happens it can get a bit crowded but only last for about 10 minutes. Then,... More

I loved swimming in this cenote - there were hardly any people there,so it was very peaceful. There are lots of little fish in the water nibbling on your feet. Entrance is only 50 pesos.

first of all go check my video I did about Cenote Xunaan-Ha on my youtube channel type spade of all trades to find it, this place is very cool place to hang out for a few hours, it gets crowded when the quad tours show up, but when they leave it is super quiet I was by myself at one... More

We were brought to this cenote 3-4 years ago when we first stayed in Akumal by one of the workers from the house we were staying at. This is the best kept secret as far as clean, refreshing, swimming cenotes go. You can't beat the price. I think I paid $150 pesos for 2 adults and 2 kids. It's located... More

This is a place not a lot of people go, so if you like something reserved this is for you. It's basically a small lake, there's not a lot of structure, but they give you swimming masks. The bottom of the lake is beautiful, and there are black holes that are the continuation of the underground river. There's two elevated... More

Absolutely beautiful, loved swimming there, diving off the platform, the little fish nibbling at my feet. It was wonderful... up until we lost our underwater camera. So if you see a blue Fuji film floating around with an orange wrist strap, let me know. I do recommend this cenote for a nice relaxing way to escape the jungle heat.

Beautifull cenote. More near Chemuyil than Akumal. Take a collectivo to Chemuyil and than its a 10 minute walk tot the cenote. 50 pesos to enter. There is nice and quit. Beautifull and clear water. possible to swing with a rope in the water. I just went swimming but it was also possible to snorkle or dive. Lot of black... More

Visited this cenote several times while staying in Chemuyil. Aside from the ATV tour groups that come and go, it is not a crowded cenote. Even when the tour is there, they are only using the zip line. There is still plenty of space to relax in the clear water.

Been to many cenotes from playacar to Tulum and this is now a favorite. Most clear of all, small, but with great humping platforms and a zip line. It was only us and Luke 5-6 locals when we went. Definitely off the beaten path. Be sure to visit the bat cave on the left side of the road after the... More
