Been here many moons ago and brought the kids back. Very disappointed, bus not working which is a shame as the grounds are massive, especially when you end up back tracking with poor maps, and not impressed that it appears there is an extra cost...More

Genuinely the most expensive zoo/ safari i've ever been to - at £28 a ticket per adult! Yes this includes a "voluntary" 10% (£3) donation, but it is rare that people will refuse this and therefor it is substantially expensive. Not only that, but everything...More

Husband and I took our granddaughter to Whipsnade today, once again an enjoyable visit. The steam train is really worth it and just long enough for little ones, however its best to plan ahead if a visit is planned.Sturdy footwear is essential as even if...More

Well the zoo for me has gone downhill in many ways. I found some of the staff at serving points quite abrupt and rude, which is a shame. The car parks have potholes all over them, and the one by the elephant house is a...More

The restaurant (not cafe/snack areas) were nightmarishly busy. Cafe at the main entrance is worth heading back to. If weather is good, lots of places to picnic. Lots of animals; you can get quite close to many - tigers particularly good. Friendly & knowledgable staff....More

I noticed in several enclosures there was a lot of different and complex forms of enrichment device which was really nice to see as well as a lot of animals displaying very playful behaviour, clearly their welfare is very good. I was just slightly disappointed...More

We did have a great day visiting ZSL however we didn’t realise the size of the estate. Each enclosure is very spacious and very well set up for the animals, but there is also so much space between them! Whilst there is a path, we...More

We do like to support Zoos without any doubt but I felt there could of been many more animals to see. This is a large Zoo lots of walking but little to see. I much prefer Chester Zoo

Despite the rain, hail and freezing winds we had such a brilliant day at the zoo today. We drove in and parked at various points with ease, making the day so much easier with young children. We got up close to so many amazing animals,...More

Yes there is a small building just outside where the lookout lodges are where you can shower. It’s a little cold but it does the job.

You don’t need parking tickets if you take your car in the zoo It’s like a stop and go all around the site with plenty of places to stop view the attraction and the dive into the next one
