Arrived at champneys for a pamper day with the girls, what a lovely surprise to see Darren Soloman manager there who was previously at Tring. The attention to detail from Darren was first class as usual. Darren has certainly added to Henlow and from talking...More

My wife and I arrived on one of the hottest days of the year. We went to our allocated room to find that it must have been over 100 degrees. I phoned down to reception only to be told that none of the bedrooms have...More

We (myself and wife) enjoy spas, both as day visitors and as residential breaks. So we bought a "Secret Escapes" voucher and booked into Henlow. First impressions were ok, but inside we thought the whole place was a little "tired" but adequate. The Champney Henlow...More

Gym well equipped, nice lunch plates to tell you what you should eat and the quantities to be healthy, more designed for female than male clientele to be honest, the male changing is tiny compared to the female ( I have been told of giant...More

Have just returned from our third stay here. We spent 2 nights-and some of the previous reviews were a little harsh. We had a twin room overlooking the weir. As previously reported yes the room was a little tired-BUT was spotlessly clean & serviced each...More

Venue is getting dated. Rooms, public areas looks old. Food was quite poor (although availability of soya milk was very appreciated), breakfast was very poor, basically if you don't eat bread or cereal don't bother. Hot breakfast cost extra. Service in the restaurant was shocking,...More

I recently decided to treat myself for my upcoming birthday to a 3 night stay at Champneys Henlow and was thrilled with my experience! I was lucky enough to get a room overlooking the weir and though it might be a little noisy for some...More

The moment we arrived we were made to feel like returning VIPs, with a lovely welcome from Rosina and acting front-of-house manager Zak (who had left a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers and welcome card in our room/mini-suite). We had a fabulous room with doors...More

I'll start with the good. The spa is lovely and the treatments were fab! I had the baby bump package and it was just lovely, could not recommend it more for any pregnant ladies, the therapists really knew their stuff. Food throughout the stay was...More

My son has booked a couple of rooms here for him and myself for an overnight stay this week... as a convenient overnight stop on route to the spa at Woburn. Please, please can someone reassure me that this place isn't as bad as the reviews are making it look and that we are not making a mistake... as I'm looking to cancel and look elsewhere. The reviews are really scaring me and I'm not sure I want to stay here. He's not as easily scared and willing to give it a try. There doesn't seem to be many good comments. Please can someone reassure me .. it's staying 4/5 on the review score but I'm not sure how with the comments listed.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time there. It is a traditional spa so not full of mod cons, etc. The food was good but super healthy.

What is the difference between rooms in the main house at Henlow, courtyard or garden view? Any tips or preferences. Is Superior worth paying for ?

My favourite rooms are the ones facing the weir where the stream falls down in a waterfall - the ducks there are very friendly! The ground floor rooms are the superior ones with a door out to a small patio. These rooms are... More
