We have consistently received poor service every time we visit - long queues, lack of cups, poor staff morale (staff shortages) ineffective management & poor facilities needing investment. This is probably one of the busiest NT venues in SE, great gardens & location but suffered...More

Was expecting a lot better!! Cliveden is lovely and we visit often, so we thought we would take our grandchildren there to see the apple day. Had attended another apple day at a National Trust house a couple of years ago which was excellent. This...More

We like Cliveden and we were extremely eager to enjoy the Apple Weekend advertised as child friendly which was also listed as providing several activities for children. Our toddler was bored. The map provided was for children who could write and read! We walked around...More

Absolutely awful experience to get a drink here. Unbelievably slow and you spend your day with family queuing! Cliveden you need to get your act sorted out it’s been like this for a few years now. This is a lovely place really let down by...More

The grounds and hose are very impressive, but the Conservatory/Orangery Café was dreadful. The premises were dull ,when they have all the potential to be wonderful, and the food was unimaginative and inedible. Very disappointing for such a property.

The grounds are beautiful and are a really good walk. Pick a nice day and wear good shoes. The tour was nice but can’t show you much because it’s a working hotel. Food at the cafe was good but extremely pricey.

Late posting this review and simply forgot to. As National Trust members this is about a visit to the whole property not the hotel. My wife was still in euphoric post royal wedding mood so persuaded me to drive 50 miles to see where Meghan...More

To be honest don’t really know I suppose it would depend on the size of your party, it was very busy when we went and there was 5 of us and it was no issue at the time !

I've never seen any bikes there - unlikely as it is a popular venue for families with young children and walkers of all ages.
