Discover the secret world of nuclear government. For over 50 years this vast underground complex, remained secret, hidden on the outskirts of a sleepy Cheshire town. Declassified in 1993, the 35,000 sq ft underground bunker would have been the...more

There is a charge of £3.95 for the tour guide , you don’t need the guide as the bunker isn’t that big . It took me just over an hour to get round . I didn’t read everything and some of the rooms seem to...More

A fascinating dive into the world of the Cold War with hundreds of authentic pieces of equipment. You really get a feeling for the era (and I was there...) The whole experience needs better interpretation, maybe with more contextualisation of the historical context. Nevertheless, a...More

You only need a couple of hours to get round this place, it's incredibly dated and pretty grubby, some rooms just look like dumping grounds for old 'stuff'. However, well worth doing and quite interesting. My gripe has to be the loos, they were disgusting...More

As a Cold War facility fitted out in the late 1970s, Hack Green is better preserved than many of the other surviving Regional Government Headquarters bunkers, with much of the original equipment and signage still in place. This has also been supplemented by other historically...More

Spent a splendid morning here. Very informative, lots to see and learn from. For anyone into history from the 1940’s to the end of the Cold War this is a must place to visit.

Came to visit on a bank holiday. Although the website made it sound exciting, to be honest it could have been a lot better. The entrance was pretty grim and uninviting. The attendant was sitting back playing on his phone, and could have made a...More

If you're a fan of 'the Bomb' it's all here! This is the place deep below ground where UK military personnel would have carried out their duties during World War 3. No longer active since the 90s, turned into a museum. Various rooms are set...More

Buried deep into the countryside just outside Nantwich is this almost surreal place. It contains considerable equipment from the Cold War era authentically displayed in its original setting. Whist there are explanations and pictures the staff on duty had virtually no knowledge of the bunker...More

Hello! Dogs are welcome everywhere inside and outside the bunker. There are Silver Spy Wednesdays, when over 60s get 10% off. The rest of the time there is no concession for pensioners.
