Discover the secret world of nuclear government. For over 50 years this vast underground complex, remained secret, hidden on the outskirts of a sleepy Cheshire town. Declassified in 1993, the 35,000 sq ft underground bunker would have been the centre of Regional Government had nuclear war broken out. The bunker today offers a warm welcome to anyone looking for a totally different day out.

Can't believe the Government of the day actually thought these bunkers would serve any real purpose in a nuclear war, same as their Protect & Survive videos that told people to hide under the kitchen table. Hack Green is worth a visit to see for...More

What an interesting place! Full of history, well kept. I went to visit with my events manager, in hope to book for a Paranormal Investigation evening. We will certainly be booking the Bunker. What an amazing place. Must go 😊

A very realistic WW2 Nuclear Bunker, with an insight to the threat from the USSR. Excellent visit, but very cold underground. Wear something warm.

How can you not follow big public signs to a secret bunker? We weren't expecting to stay long, but we got engrossed in this fascinating slice of history. There is lots to see. It's all authentic and well displayed. We had a good afternoon and...More

Our group was aged from 2 to 67 and everyone enjoyed the visit. There is a lot of good solid information about cold war communications, plus resident cats (real) and nuclear mice (hidden around the exhibits). Also, well behaved dogs are allowed inside.

The exhibit is bigger than you expect, and full of recreations/sounds of the era, so you really have a feel of what it was like when it was a functioning facility. Highly recommended if you visit Cheshire

I was expecting to see a lot more, but never the less, it was interesting. The cost was £9.25 for adults. I think £5 would have been more than enough. I thought all the exhibits were displayed, as they had been left, but it seems...More

We read the reviews and thought this sounded somewhere different to visit. Although I wasn’t expecting it to be a ‘fun’ day out I wasn’t expecting it to be how it was. The bunker seems very tired and cluttered. We were expecting more information on...More

I stumbled across this attraction when perusing Atlas Obscura Travel blog and it's been on my to-do list ever since. The Bunker structure itself is amazing and more than I expected. You wander around the ex-ROTOR facility self-directed following the signs. There are 27 rooms...More

Hello! Dogs are welcome everywhere inside and outside the bunker. There are Silver Spy Wednesdays, when over 60s get 10% off. The rest of the time there is no concession for pensioners.

We do still host lots of groups. The information is on our website under 'What's On' and then 'Ghost Hunts'. Unfortunately TripAdvisor won't allow a weblink.
