This has many amenities for children as well as adults, boats, bathing and paddling. The cafe is attractively presented and the coffee and scone made an enjoyable break on the way back home from the Lakes. The question is whether the character will change with...More

Lovely park, even on a cold day in February. Worth a look around. Don't forget your National Trust card if you have one and save the cost of the car park.

Tea Room serving typical National Trust fare, pretty if you're sitting outside with the jetty and lake view but a little bleak inside. Gentle walks along the lake shore, space to picnic. Cheerful staff.

I loved listening to the story of the rediscovered love letters as told by Mike in the shop oh and the roaring fire in the cafe is just what you need on a misty wet day x
