Maryport, on Cumbrias west coast, definitely a hidden gem. A lovely costal fishing town with great bars and restaurants. We went to Captain Nelsons Tavern last night. A welcoming, family run bar/restaurant where we had the best wood fired pizzas EVER!. Well worth a visit.

Came in here after a walk. Never eaten in Maryport before. The food was fantastic. Great traditional dishes, and generous portions. Very friendly staff, and dog friendly.
