Staunton Harold Reservoir near Melbourne, Derbyshire is in the heart of the growing National Forest and offers a range of attractive walks and leisure activities. The site is open every day from dawn until dusk apart from Christmas Day. Car parking Car parking is £2.50 per vehicle all day at the main car park. The ticket machines do not accept cash, but you can pay by credit or debit card. Frequent visitors may wish to purchase annual car parking permits which includes access to Foremark Reservoir. The cost for an annual permit for both sites is £35 which includes a £5 deposit for a swipe card that allows access to Foremark Reservoir.

This is a wonderful place to take the family out for a picnic overlooking the calming stretch of water. There is a playground to let the kids loose while you can enjoy the serenity or even just people watching. There are paths for countryside walks...More

Great for kids, a good snack bar, swing park, woodland walks and only have to pay for parking. Picnic tables and plenty of space for ball games etc

Went here for an afternoon walk as the weather was not great. Different walks that lead to different places. We decided to not go far with not knowing the place well. Perfect for families

We visited here today and walked around following the yellow trail . It took us about an hour really nice trails and sites to be seen made for an enjoyable hour walk . Free parking on site the house is beautiful.More

Hi Paula You can't walk all the way around the reservoir. You can take a short walk along the wild flower meadow which is approximately 3/4 of a mile. Hope this helps :)
