We have visited the Forestry Centre on numerous occasions since it opened. There is always a quiet and calming atmosphere when strolling around the lovely woodlands, it's great to help unwind and very easy to access. The facilities are well looked after and all the paths and different areas are clearly marked. There is a free map to help you... More

I was given this experience as a present and it was amazing! We started off slowly with lots of owls and then after a tea break the other birds came out. It was 3 hours where I learnt a lot. Richard and D were really good (apart from D's terrible jokes! E.g. What is the most common owl? A teet-owl!)... More

Thank you for providing us with your positive feedback. We are so pleased to learn that you enjoyed your Falconry Experience (despite some rather questionable jokes from our Falconers!!). I shall make sure to pass on your comments to the Falconry team. We look forward to greeting you back to Rosliston soon! More

Regular visitor. Love the walks through the woods, choice of short or long walks and great play area for the kids with soft play too. Cafe gives good choices of drinks and snacks. Good day out.

We visited here on Christmas Eve as a family of 4 with 2 small children. It's free access and a pay and display car park. It's a lovely place for a walk in the fresh air, our children were able to ride their bikes around one of the many trails. There is a good sized play park which also has... More

I spent last weekend at this venue, we hired a lodge for 3 nights. I can see the potential for this site especially in better weather however the weather was very wet on 2 of the days and my main comments are about the upkeep of the roads into the lodges and the state of the lodges themselves. The road... More

Dear Karen, Many thanks for taking the time to write your review, we take feedback very seriously and we are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay to 100% satisfaction. The holes on the approach road are regularly filled and as you mentioned both prior and during your stay we had suffered a period of very wet weather including Storm Doris... More

An ideal outdoor place for fun & enjoyment with children & grandfather. Walking around had been a good experience. Good food in the restaurant and the facilities for both young & old.

Been many times before to the Roslington forestry centre and normally enjoy the experience but not this time. The place is becoming neglected. 1st stop was the bird hide. All feeders empty with half of feeders on the floor!!! nobirds just the odd squirrel. The glass in the hide windows was filthy and steamed up on the outside making viewing... More

Hi there, Many thanks for your review - we have most recently received some sponsorship for our bird feeders and topping up the feeders is part of our daily routine, however it looks as though on this occasion this has been missed. This will be looked into further, I can assure the bird hide is well looked after and the... More
