Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out...

Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out of Innisfail. Elevated walkways, a cantilever, and observation tower offer visitors the exhilarating experience of being high in the rainforest canopy, along with providing spectacular panoramic views of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. The Mamu Tropical Skywalk allows visitors to explore the rainforest from the forest floor to the canopy, in comfort and safety. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest-remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas. Information signs tell of the rainforest's complex web of life and the rich culture and history of the area.

Only a short distance out of Innisfail, this is a must if in the area. There are elevated walkways, and an observation tower 37 meters up, which is an exhilarating experience of being high in the rain-forest canopy. The tower can test and challenge those who get nervous of heights like myself, but so pleased I did it and wasn't... More

We visited mid-afternoon and enjoyed a very peaceful 4km round-trip walk in this peaceful and beautiful rainforest. There are fantastic views across to the North Johnstone River in the valley below and the Atherton Tablelands beyond from the walkways and viewing platforms. If you suffer from vertigo, you may not like the climb up to the highest viewing platform though... More

I loved Mamu Tropical Skywalk for many reasons. The staff were super friendly (it was a quiet afternoon so I got attentive one on one service), the location is magnificent (beautiful dense rainforest in a secluded area with views out to the North Johnstone River & Mt Bartle Frere) and the information (both the audio commentary and information plaques scattered... The bush walk (700m) and the sky walk (350 m) was very pleasant. The skywalk was a different view of the rainforest, and enjoyable and the view from the raised tower at the end is beautiful. I just feel that there are many other fantastic bush walks in the area that are free and just as enjoyable. Unfortunately I feel... More

This was our first stop and we arrived at the opening time. Beat the middle of the day humidity and the rain! It took us 2hrs and we recommend taking a bottle of water and some snacks espically if travelling with kids. We weren't aware the walk was 1120m one way. It was an absolutely breathtaking walk amongst all the... More

Found this whilst en route to Paronella Park.... and decided after having done Otways and Tahune walks... we needed to add this to our list. Interesting to see how they have incorporated the recent cyclone damage into the overall outlooks... and it really helps to demonstrate how much damage was caused. Worth the visit

This is a very peaceful and gorgeous place to wander through the rain forest. There is a tour on recorded device in multiple languages that allows the visitor to learn about the area at their own pace. The main attraction is the skywalk tower which is 37 meters tall and offers outstanding views of a truly unique area in the... More

We were greeted by a friendly traditional owner of the land and he was chatty and engaging. We were directed to the entrance where we opted to but a 2 park pass as we were heading on to Paronella Park later in the day.....this saved us all a few bucks. We were offered headphones so we could listen to a... More

Nice walk, a bit disappointed by the view and panorama after the visit, in my view overrated. It is not a "must do" for me.
