I had read bad reviews of this place before going but went anyway. Me and my lad had a great time. The spooky music added extra atmosphere that made it like a theme park. Awesome. And there was a great educational talk afterwards that we...More

Kids loved the venom zoo, some educational info and practical life advise.. but mostly just getting to hold the snakes. Cost was on par with entry to all the other attractions in Kuranda.

At first we did not think there was a lot to see, but when we came back up from the cellar we were given a very informative talk and viewing of various snakes and spiders. The place could do with a bit of makeover, but...More

This venom zoo needs to be reported that the RSPCA. The animals are completely neglected, the owner, Stuart is a horrible man who treats his staff and animals with disrespect. Lots of snakes had no heat lamps in their cage, the bulbs were blown. Some...More

A business makeover/ overhaul is required but the information given was great . As a herpetologist myself I found this very informative. Great for the kids to get to hold the snakes .

$10 per person so cost us $30 to see 5 snakes and a bunch of scorpions at the start. Still the Mad Max feel of the place and the snakes still had my boys hooked, so guess it was worth it. If you have small...More

We went to the venom zoo expecting to see loads of dangerous spiders and snakes. However only a few on show and it was too dark to see. There was an opportunity to hold a large snake for photo purpose. But not any spiders. They...More

Has to be seen to be believed. Quite an adventure. There were doll's heads and spooky stuff with a spooky atmosphere & quite entertaining info. Quick to manoeuvre through the very old and odd building. Made me smile. Never seen anything quite like it -...More

This place charges way too much for what it delivers. The photo with the python is the only thing that makes it worth it. It's $11 per person or $50 for a family ticket. I would say don't waste your money here.
