A great place to visit if you are interested in viewing venomous snakes and spiders. Even though there was no milking happening today (Easter Sunday) the techniques were explained to us and all our questions were answered. It was a very interesting display. Yes it is $15 per adult however, when you consider that the animals need feeding and maintenance,... More

The actual place is very run down but the staff are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Hopefully they can spend some money on some renovations soon. Was great to see some snakes spiders and other creatures the kids hadnt seen before

This place has all the creepy crawlies you want to see. They also have some of the most venomous snakes in Australia including a Taipan and also a big python which you can hold (not the Taipan!). Although the place is rather run down it is worth a visit if you want to see this type of thing. A guided... More

AVOID!!! There is no value (financial or educational) in attending this 'attraction' - no guided tour, no venom extraction, no scorpions (weren't prepared to show us).

What can I say....for the $10 entry fee and the 2 minutes we wandered around I just wish we had reviewed it before going. What a waste of money. The only highlight was holding the snake. Half the exhibits upstairs we couldn't even see the spiders, scorpions etc. It could be done extremely well if time and money was put... More

Not a fan of the reptiles, but my daughter dragged me in and I'm glad she did, certainly learnt more about the creatures, and the photo of mum with the python will be a family treasure

Visited the venom zoo and is already done the other things in Kuranda. The idea of the Zoo is really good but it's better going to a proper zoo to see snakes and spiders. The Had 4 snakes in a little downstairs area which were cool to see but literally took 2 minutes. In the reception area they have a... More

We really liked visiting the Australian Venom Zoo. It is a no-frills attraction and really casual. The range of reptiles and spiders on display is great. The guy who ran the tour while we were there was very knowledgeable, friendly and contributed to the overall enjoyable experience we had. We found the entry fee of $40 (2 adults, 1 child)... More

Yes, five minutes will be as long as you can spend there... after paying about $50 for a family! A complete rip off! A gold coin donation would be an acceptable entry price. The place also needs a good clean.
