We arrived to a delicious morning tea and an introduction to the property and the produce of Rainforest Bounty. We then had a walk along the river and through the property which is stunning. Following this we broke into groups and prepared and cooked the dishes of the Indonesia Cookery School, which featured Green Jackfruit Curry and Coral Trout marinated... More

My mum and I participated in the French Provincial cooking class at Rainforest Bounty today. The cooking school is located in a beautiful part of tablelands and is only a short drive from Malanda. We were amazed to see that the cooking school has been set up so that you cook and enjoy your meal within close proximity of the... More

The 1 day Middle Eastern cookery school provided a marvellous insight to the foods of this part of Australia and how to use them in meals from a different part of the world! The property and surrounding orchards immerse you in how to live off the bounty of Far North Queensland. Geraldine's knowledge and stories in this regard were excellent.... More

My wife and I attended a Mediterranean cooking class in Sep 2013. We had a great day, learning about the unusual and different native fruits. The actual cooking part was fun too,( we didn't even have to clean up). The conversations with the other people was interesting and enjoyable. The location is fantastic, a scenic drive to the house with... More

I have attended two of the cooking classes at Rainforest Bounty Cooking School (in 2011 and 2012). Both were fantastic and I really enjoyed the experiences. The setting at Rainforest Bounty Cooking School is truly serene. Beautiful views, crisp fresh air, a wonderful orchard to roam through and explore, gorgeous chocolate Labradors to greet you and very cute ducklings wandering... More

Thank you, Geraldine, for a great day. It was my first cooking school experience and I would love to do it again. I really loved how you took us into the garden to gather the ingredients to cook with. It was a lovely way to start chatting to our fellow chefs for the day. And cooking with a friend was... More

I've spent two very enjoyable days cooking Vietnamese and middle eastern cuisine at rainforest bounty on the atherton tablelands near cairns, Australia. Our host had an encyclopedic knowledge of plants, especially the ground-breaking rainforest fruits which are used in the classes. It was great to learn so much from local experts about this beautiful and unique part of Australia.
