Visit the 'Jewel' of Maleny: Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World: AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. "The most exquisite gardens I've seen in my 41 years in the garden business. It will be the next wonder of the world!" Graham Ellis, The Garden Guru 2011. Set on over three hectares the manicured, magnificent Gardens are positioned high on the escarpment. They are privately owned and form a panorama of waterfalls, lakes, ponds and colourful plantings. Uniquely landscaped layers, idyllic rainforest surroundings and the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains backdrop create a truly unique garden. BIRD WORLD: Our facilitated, interactive Bird Encounter in the Bird Aviary brings you up close and personal with colourful birds of the world from Finches to Macaws. We conduct regular guided walks daily, please enquire about Tour Times when purchasing your Garden Entry, as tour times may vary due to demand. Sit near the waterfall, watch, listen and photograph birds as they alight upon you -an awesome experience. Then visit our MINIATURE ANIMAL enclosure - a favourite with all ages. Enjoy chicken, ducks, geese, guinea fowl and pat our miniature animals: Ginger & Frosty the alpacas, cuddle Bah Bah the sheep and snowflake the billy goat, enjoy Sparky the horse, Pippen the donkey. There are lovely walks throughout the Gardens however you are welcome to just enjoy our fabulous Devonshire Tea any time during the day, in one of the gazebos overlooking the Gardens and mountains. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens by one of the many lakes, lounge on your blanket and soak up the peace and serenity. You can even bring your dog on a lead! Our gazebos are ideal to hold your special celebration with friends or family - book for a High Tea catered especially for you. For group bookings phone or email us to arrange a date and time. A breathtaking location for your magical day: "You could not have a more beautiful venue for your wedding" is a comment we regularly receive. This was the highlight of my trip to the Sunshine Coast. We went on a Monday and had this beautiful garden almost to ourselves. Apparently the weekends can be quite busy. It's obvious a lot of work continues to be put into these beautiful gardens which you could spend hours walking around. The aviary was an amazing experience - an... More

Very friendly staff, amazing views and gorgeous gardens that keep on surprising! Went in the heat of summer with a friend and although it has been sooo dry there were so many flowers in bloom, green grass, ponds and water features. Definitely will visit again and bring a picnic! We had been meaning to visit this attraction for years after receiving great feedback from guests of our B & B. When family from the UK were visiting us we took the plunge and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in nature. The views are spectacular, looking south across the terraced gardens to the famous Glass House Mountains.... More

The aviary tours were delightful and interesting with some real rare species to see or to allow to Perch on your shoulder. Some nearby great scenery on the tourist route too as a bonus.

A most impressive facility with avian seed eaters supported in spacious conditions with a strong welfare emphasis.Clearly not a natural environment but as good as it gets for close interaction.A great wedding venue with wonderful vistas of the Glasshouse mountains to the east.

You wouldn't believe that this lovely park was on top of the hinterland mountains. So pretty and surrounded by natural forest as you walk along the pathways. Well worth a look.

We recently visited Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World and it surpassed our expectations. What we loved the best was the aviary and the customer service. We had a gentleman named Jerome take us around their aviary and he was very knowledgeable and super friendly and made sure to look out for the group and their best interest. Highly recommend!

The family all enjoyed the different attraction's. My youngest enjoyed the smell of the flowers. While we all enjoyed the birds. you do not feel enclosed and the birds are very friendly and extremely tame.
