Its impossible to access the off shore beauty of the Islands off Mission Beach without the skill and commitment of Bec and Jason from Mission Beach Charters. We booked several days on Bedarra Island Beach House and the entire experience, from the voyage across to the Island, through to the food and supplies waiting for us on arrival, was planned... More

With the threat of stingers & crocodiles it's not enticing. There is an enclosed pool area but waves still come over the top. Nice for beach walks.

It is a beautiful beach but during the wet.The hottest and most humid 6 months you can not swim .The stingers and crocs will get you.The only place to swim is in the stinger net and if it is low tide the water will only come up to your knees.

Truly Far North Queensland. Experience a step away from the business of major Queensland cities and live the "village" life that is Mission Beach. The Ocean is perfect swimming temperature, bring a boogie board and have a belly surf in the soft waves; pitch a shade tent in the sand and spend all day at the beach; you can almost... More

There are not many people so you can have a whole beach for yourself, use a hat, clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses and bring your camera.

What an amazing place. Very quiet, but absolutely peaceful & stunning surrounds. Small centre of town, but very pretty & everyone very friendly. We ate in 3 restaurants, all being very reasonable & some of the best food ever. Great fishing, rainforest walks & relaxing beaches. Some good pubs too!

What an amazing relaxing place to go for time away from hustle and bustle of everyday life. Not overly busy as some places can be. Will definitely be coming back to Mission Beach

A beautiful stretch of sand fringed with palms, wonderful for an early morning or evening stroll, a chat with the local dog walkers. Part of the beach protected with stinger nets. Quiet peaceful, a little piece of paradise.

A lovely place to relax and use as a base for a few days or more, Quiet little township although spread across 3 small areas. Plenty of places to grab a bite from, nice location to head out to the islands from if you are into walking. Have a go at spotting Cassowaries! Take a beach stroll, have a fish, enjoy the peace.

We have been regularly visiting Mission beach for more than 15 years now and always look forward to our next visit. Seeing Dunk, bedarra, wheeler, hinchinbrook and other islands make the view from the beach interesting. Full moon nights on the water are breathtaking. The general mood is relaxed. Locals are friendly and helpful. It is a bit out of... More
