On entry one is issued with an audio guide which allows visitors to view the exhibits in their own time and it is very informative. Well laid out, lots of fossils, and a good introductory film included, and all in an air conditioned environment. Great...More

This great attraction is full of amazing local fossil finds laid out in a very easy to follow, educational experience. Take a personalised sunset tour of the local dig site and try to find a piece of history

This is an unbelievable collection of dinosaur information and fossils in a small, very remote, Queensland town. We certainly had no idea. The building and the presentation of the fossils is brilliant. It is all aided by an individual audio machine that explains what you...More

What a gem of a museum, this has been put together by someone with a lot of passion. One of the pluses is the actual fossils are on display instead of replicas. The fossils are very diverse covering land dinosaurs & marine reptiles, ammonites, turtles.

We found the Ammonite Inn motel was a good place to base our Richmond activities from. It also has a restaurant which serves up excellent meals. The managers were very friendly and helpful when we stayed there.
