Gorgeous
Dec. 2020
Went out searching for Platypus and walked from a nearby B&B. Nice walking track and I did spy a large male platypus, rolling around near the bank about midway upstream. Would have liked to have stayed longer, but it started to rain.

Pleasant riverside walk
Jan. 2020
An enjoyable walk by the riverside nothing spectacular but a chance of seeing platypus especially if visiting at the best time of year for seeing them. The lady at the tourist office told us the best time of day to see them but she said it was unlikely we'd see any however we did see the top of a bill.

Wonderful place to see platypus
Aug. 2020 • Couples
Easy and relaxing walk along the creek to sit quietly and watch the amazing platypus. There are picnic areas at the mid way point along the creek. Please take your rubbish with you and only leave footprints in this beautiful spot as we collected half a shopping bag of rubbish along the way!

Beautiful
Aug. 2020
Every time I go to Yungaburra I go on this walk and all times of the year it never fails to disappoint. It is easily accessed and an easy walk. I have seen a red possum asleep. Tree Kangaroos, wonderful bird life, turtles and this latest time a little Platypus that was happy for me and others to watch it for at least an hour .

Great track but requires some work
Jan. 2020 • Friends
This is a great track looping around Frawley's Pool, tge old rail bridge, across the botanic gardens and Casuarina walk. Requires TRC to do some upgrade and maintenance work of the rotting picnic tables. I have seen many platypus in the past but the walk is choked with duckweed. A thicker tree and vegetation corridor would be great for encouraging wildlife diversity

Look and you will see
Nov. 2019 • Couples
The viewing platform is a great place to see Platypus, for a closer look go across the bridge and walk the track by the creek, we saw Platypus,Tortoise, a snake swimming downstream, some Catfish (I think) one of the best viewing places is under the bridge, if you sit still and be very quiet you will see Platypus up close, as it is darker than the surrounding area they tend to surface more often, highly recommend this unique experience.

Good Platypus sightings
Aug. 2019
We stayed at Kookaburra Lodge in Yungaburra and went to look for Platypus at 5pm on manager's advise. We didn't see any at the recommended spot where they were sighted that morning but I moved closer to the town at the picnic area and had 4 sightings so we were very happy. You need to sit, be quiet and watch.

Easy walk with lots of interest
Oct. 2019 • Couples
The track starts just by the Platypus Viewing Platform. Easy walking when dry, just go quietly and you will be rewarded with sightings of Platypus and birds.
We walked this track morning and evening and saw Platypuses every time. Just wait a while.

A nice place to while away a few hours trying to spot the Platypus's in the creek, they are there, just got to wait a bit.
