Saw lots of wildlife and great views. Would have liked more time. Highly recommend Sacred Gorge though it has a dirt road to get to it

Even the walk into the Pound is enjoyable. A 9am start, taking the Sliding rock route had us in the shade nearly all the way to the Homestead. Instead of going up to the lookout we walked across the Pound toward Mt Mary. Paths are well signed. A few kangaroos. Scenery in all directions is magnificent.

The resort offers great proximity to walks and 1/2 day drives. Good standard of accommodation and a bistro with good pub style food at reasonable prices.

Several easy to challenging walks and most culminating in beautiful views of the Pound and true appreciation this geologically historic natural wonder. Great from the bottom to the top and all angles in-between (not to mention from outside).

The resort is in a beautiful location in South Australia but it not well maintained. The service in the restaurant was very slow but after being told the service improved on the second night

Our motel room with full buffet brekkie included was tremendous value. Loved the scenery and wildlife. Staff were great - reception, restaurant, room service. Great choice of accommodation options.

My husband & I booked a Glam Tent in the Ikara Safari Camp, for the Oct long Weekend, to say we were disappointed is an understatement, NOW WE KNOW WERE WERE CAMPING BUT...we arrived at our tent to find it very poorly fitted out, we had two very stained & chipped coffee cups, which were sat on a filthy stained... ....you'll never do it justice. Get up in the air! We took the $199 half hour flight with WrightAir.......what a huge event! Best of the deal was we ended up being piloted by a wonderful lady called Jess, who was just the best! Totally committed to providing a great experience, helpful, considerate, and very, very well informed. She clearly has... More

There are lots of walking options around Wilpena. Most fitness levels are catered for. Tourist Info staff are helpful and offer guided walks.
