A Christmas Story House, now restored to its movie splendor, is open year round to the public for tours. Directly across the street from the house is the official A Christmas Story House Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee's window, Randy's snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shields' classroom and the family car. After reliving A Christmas Story at Ralphie's house don't forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia.

This is a cool site to see for fans of A Christmas Story movie. It gives you a chance to see the house the family "lived" in for the movie. However, most of the movie was not filmed here. They have opened up a gift...More

On our final day of our vacation we were off to Cleveland to view the "A Christmas Story" house and museum. This was my wife’s idea since we were close and her father, a huge “A Christmas Story” fan, had recently passed away. Honestly, I...More

I went for my daughter and late husband as this was their favorite movie. There are signs to find the house but it's tucked away in a residential area with the gift shop in a house across the street. If you're not a real fan...More

We stopped here on our way to a Cleveland Indians game because it was only about 10 minutes from Progressive Field. I think $11 is a bit much for an hour-ish tour for anyone who doesn't loooove the movie, but if you're a fan of...More

We added this to planned stops at the Rock &Roll Hall of Fame and an Indians game at the last minute, and it was our favorite stop by far! If you're planning on going, I would call ahead and find out which tours Gary will...More

The place is a victim of it's own popularity. There were about 20 too many people in the group and even though it's 'self guided" you get rushed in and out of the two buildings. The guide is knows the history of the stuff and...More

Went on a weekday afternoon, and the wait was long! When we finally got in, it was disappointing to say the least! This clearly is a money making scheme from a flop of a movie in an economically depressed and crime ridden area. They even...More

This was AWESOME!!! My husband and I stopped here on our way to lunch in Cleveland. If you like the movie-you'll enjoy this tour/museum/shop. It's only $11 but the information shared about all of the "behind the scenes", makes you want to watch the movie...More

Loved our visit! The tour guide was FULL of trivia about the movie, the era, the actors and inside information from behind the scenes. Even thought the house is relatively small, the guide "had" us for and hour and a half! Soooooooo glad we did...More

Parking is free across the street from the house. You buy tickets at the store and then a guide will take you across the street to the house and then to the museum.

20 minute drive. The Christmas Story House is over the bridge from the downtown core. We chose to Über there to avoid having to find parking as it's on a residential street.
