We love coming here. My kids have been in the summer programs since they were toddlers. There is an interactive education center inside. My teens still like to go in to see the turtles. I like the bird observation room. You can sit back and listen to the birds through speakers and watch their activity outside. We like walking the... More

If you desire to get away from the crowds and experience the peace and quiet of nature. You need look no further than this hidden often overlooked location. Emphasis is more on garden than metro park. No beautiful scenery just simply quiet introspective scenery.

The drive to this park was impressive to me. It seems like there are a few different trails and places to wonder about in the area, but I only had time for a brief visit. No pets allowed on the garden trail, but no one had a problem with my dogs on the trails I wondered down otherwise. I would... More

Aullwood Garden Metropark is located on the south side of highway 40 as it goes over the Englewood Dam. The Englewood Park, another Five Rivers Metropark, is on the north side. We didn't get out and walk as much as we wanted because it was really cold and spitting snow so we only saw a small portion of the park.... More

I happened upon this place as a child and its peace and beauty was something to behold. The sun shining through the trees and the little babbling brook that flows through the middle of this little slice of heaven can provide comfort for the weariest soul.

A 30 acre estate donated to the Dayton Metroparks. Beautiful at any time. in mid-April the plentiful Bluebells are blooming, as well as other spring flowers. Easy walk on dirt path. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Go through the short forest walk to notice the forest floor blanketed with shade of blue. Stunning. Free entrance and parking. In May the lilac grove... More

Some of the trails are more rugged then others. The views of the different falls are beautiful and well worth the hike.

This is one of the best places to go around Dayton when the leaves begin to change colors. Always a good place to hike or take a jog as well
