Well designed and laid out layout of this temple complex attracts the tourist all over. The main temple God overlooks the water tank from the height with a small temple in the center of the water tank offers a very attractive scenic environment. Very peaceful, calm and energetic situation worth a visit

The tale of the Brahma Rakshasa that lead to the construction of the temple is very interesting. Do talk to the priests at the temple to understand the importance of the place. Very neatly maintained

Don't go there as a tourist attraction. You will be disappointed. But the temple provides a great atmosphere for temple goers. There is a pond with lot of fish.

this temple is linked with a lot of history and religion. According to various beliefs, Madikeri's then king had murdered a holy man. In order to redeem his sins, the king built a temple of the holy hindu god, Lord Shiva. The statue installed(also called a shivaling) was from shiva's holy land called kasi. It is a bit crammed but... More

If you have enough time then you can go this temple. Not more attactive but an old temple located near hot of the city. If you are going with family you can plan this temple to spent time. Evening time is best to go.

A simple old temple at a walking distance near the city center. Visited during the afternoon and was not at all crowded. Access road is narrow but quite good and can be accessed using any vehicle. It has limited parking. Visit once and get blessed.
