The "toy" train to carry guests to the hotel's is not currently working. It also costs about $10 dollars to get your bags hauled up to the resorts.

Hello everyone I visited Matheran in September and March this year. Ideally this place is at its scenic best during Rainy and winter season. This was my first time in this mini train now its more advance where u can track down the train timing etc only need to check if we can do a online booking for the same it would be a great help rest its quite a adventures trip site seeing all the way

This is one of the last remaining attractions in matheran and its still not working for nearly a year now since i visited matheran this Feb , its sad , track is also in poor condition !

I visited Matheran in the month of Sep-2016. Unfortunately toy train was not working. The track was is very bad condition. Toy train is main attraction and I am planning to visit again and enjoy the ride. It seems train is still not functional. Without the proper maintenance we may loose this lovely train.

I had been to Matheran with my friends.We had a great time.We took a toy train from Neral to reach matheran .We enjoyed the ride. Toy train is still unavailable, only engine & bogies were there in Neral railway station,track condition is not so good, hope it will start soon

The train starts from Neral station for Matheran. It is a easy attraction for young as well as elders.
