I reached this temple by ricshaw at 10 am. You have to keep your mobile and shoes in nearby shop as these are not allowed in temple. Be aware of pandits as they would try to cheat you for money. Take prasad for Lord jagganath from temple range from 20 to 5000. There would be very rush and crowd in... More

The temple is accessible on foot, cars have to be parked almost 2kms away! There are ample lockers available near the temple to keep phone/wallet etc at a nominal fee. They also keep your footwear in a gunny bag. As you near the temple, agents will approach you promising a great view of the deity and a personal darshan. Beware!!... More

It is very nice place for ultimate devotees of god. It is a pious place where people go to bow before the great Jagannath god . Its most worthful view is daily evening flag hosting at the top of the temple.

I visited this place alone and what I really admired was the amazing architecture of the temple. I did a lot of interaction with the priest there and learned all about the history of the Lord jagganath. The place is a must go while you are exploring the Kalinga Area. The entry to the temple is restricted to the Hindus... More

Your trip to Puri is incomplete unless you visit the temple of lord Jagannath. As the name Jagannath means, he is the lord of Jagat the universe or the universal lord. It's being said that the lord visits daily this temple during lunch hour while taking a tour of the day. Hence the prasad of lord is referred as Mahaprasada.... More
