Read the story behind this sacred Church. Read between the lines what is the meaning of the ultimate love of the Virgin Mary to her Son.

An outstanding churh very popoular for the orthodoxs visitirs and not only. A beauty stoned square is at the front of the church and many visitirs used to cross the road from the port to the church on their knees!

Beautiful church on a hill in the very center Tinos town. Architecture is really nice plus the surrounding area also makes it worth to climb a bit to get there. Worth a visit!

The first thing you have to do in the island is to visit Panayia Evanyelistria. The morning hours is more crowded.

Visited the Panayia Evanyelistria a few times during our visit. It was beautiful, either in the day or when lit up in the evening. Totally devoid of any touristy feel, it was peaceful and charming.

A must visit if in Tinos. It houses one of the most important paintings in the Orthodox church which is claimed to be responsible for many miracles. Take the walk up the hill and see an impressive setting. Read the history before the visit.

Well worth the walk up the hill. Some very impressive gold and silver. Beautiful building with fantastic view over the town and sea.

Seriously impressive setting, and a seriously impressive entrance to this building, make this a journey well worth making. Inside the church, interesting votives hang from the ceiling (as seen in Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage); take your time to enjoy these, and don't forget to look for...More

I visited yesterday the Church with my family. Personally I am not a religious person. Of course it's a must in Tinos but if you could avoid the morning hours that the ships arrive at the island cause the church is too much crowded with...More
