I lived at Svalbard for a period when I was a child. The church had not changed since the 1950’s when it was built. The church is simple but elegant and often open to visitors. Make sure you see the church-ship hanging from the roof....More

This is church plus community centre in one. It is open 24/7 and you my prepare yourself some coffee in the lounge area.

On the outskirts of Longyearbyen, this is slightly different to your usual church and very peaceful. Worth popping into while.

Well worth a quick visit. The paintings near the altar are beautiful. Say a prayer in the world's northernmost church.

Nice friendly warm place to visit. Cozy hall with fireplace, stuffed polar bear and cake on Sunday mornings. Clean, bright multi denominational chapel. Also the ever present gift shop (just a counter really).
