Beautiful huge church in lovely well kept grounds. Loved the wooden door and font. Little gift shop and cards area to the front of church. A must visit when you are in the area of this beautiful village

Visited with my father many years ago and did rubbings of ancestors

This is a very old church in a beautiful part of England. The cemetery is very historic and the burial places in the church itself are great for getting rubbings off the bronzes. The nave is particularly beautiful. I feel it was certainly worth the visit.

Fascinating

We loved the architecture with the amazing flint stone work. What a shame that many of the stained-glass windows were lost in World War II. But, on the other hand it was nice to be in such a light church. We were lucky to meet the Rector who told us quite a bit about the history, including how they uncovered the Medieval floor tiles.

It’s a church
Jan. 2020 • Couples
At the end of the day, whilst I would t suggest there was anything extraordinary about this church, it was still a pleasant visit. One of the handful of buildings that survived a town leveling fire back in the 1600 and housing the original Southwold Jack.

The inside was clean and all the original woodwork was very cool to see.

Met a very nice gentleman inside who offered a free history lesson on the place that sadly turned into a personal story filled with conspiracy theories and preaching. Big turnoff. If I needed a sermon I’d come on Sunday.

organ playing

a beautiful church, and made extra special allowing my husband to play the organ - looking at the different architecture, the carved pew ends, the tranquillity offers peace and happiness to visitors

Great looking church which seems to be quite typical of Suffolk with it's long windows allowing plenty of light.
Well keep grounds.
