Sitting in the grounds of Berkeley Castle St Mary's church is a lovely parish church. Surrounded by beautiful trees, it has played host to several monarchs of the realm who have prayed here and is the burial place for several earls countesses.
The grave of the jester killed in Berkeley Castle is just one of the impressive table tombs in the grave yard here. There are wall paintings and wonderful carvings. Unfortunately it is not possible to view the Berkeley tombs in the church.

Beautiful little church next to Berkeley castle. Many old graves in the churchyard, it us a beautiful, peaceful place with many recurring names. At that time I was researching war memorials in the area for my own interest and found this, like many small churches...More
I don't think they have a toilet on site as it is a Church and listed building, but there are toilet facilities a 2 minute walk away at the cafe in Berkeley Castle grounds of which the two sites are connected
