There are entrances off three different roads. Parking not too good on any but off Ashdown Road probably safest. The walk has woodland and watermeadow and some delightful yellow iris. There are butterflies later in the season. One is surrounded by birdsong. Takes between 20...More

Lovely little nature reserve to wander through. Boardwalks over most of the very squelchy bits , except for one bit just before the boardwalk leading to the meadow, very muddy here, nearly lost a trainer in the mud.! The I spy board for things to...More

Wow! My old local woods is on TA! Take my daughter here when visiting nan's. Good signage highlighting local wildlife, not that we've ever spotted any. Paths are good, carvings are a nice treat. One weird disappointment is a raised path (on the right from...More

Very pleasent place to walk at any time of the year. With woodland, wetland well maintained by the "Friends of Hocombe Mead" Sometimes there are cattle grazing there and you can normally see native wildlife. There are boardwalks over the really wet areas but it...More

A favourite dog walk - a bit isolated. Often cattle in the lower meadow. Park at the non-hiltingbury road end. Might need wellies if you go off-piste..

A truly peaceful and pleasant place to get away from the crowds and take in some fresh air. Its well maintained and the tree carving is very good. Well worth a visit.
