For a free attraction this centre is very good. It explains the history of the area and the things that you will see in the New Forest. Although we didn't visit with children there did seem to be lots of interactive activities for younger visitors.

Great place to visit if coming to the New Forest for a holiday as it sets everything in context. The New Forest Museum is packed full of displays and activities about the New Forest National Park, Fascinating insight into the history of the New Forest

We enjoyed a quick visit to this centre whilst on a short stop in Lyndhurst. Good displays, video clips, photos with interesting scripts and still life dsplays explaining all aspects of the New Forest
