Very helpul staff. We thought thought there was not too much to do in Lyndhurst, but they expliained what we could do and there was more than we expected. Of course, all is based on outdoor and you must be a nature and animal lover to enjoy the place, but I suspect that choosing a holiday in Lyndhurst tends to... More

I you visit the lovely country town of Lyndhurst & want to know more about places of interest then make your way to this centre. The staff there are very friendly & helpful & can answer any questions you may wish to raise. They have lots of information available such as maps, leaflets & brochures etc, well worth a visit.

Popped in here after parking in the long stay car park in Lyndhurst. A mine of information and lots for kids to do (and of course dog friendly)and a shop selling all sorts of 'forest' related goodies. Very informative staff too. Free to enter but a donation is recommended.

Spent the weekend down in the New Forest going for walks, visiting some local pubs and enjoying the scenery. Would strongly recommend to everyone.

A wonderful area which is so very pretty. The animals in unexpected settings were lovely and a pleasure to see. I can't understand why people have to drive so fast when there are animals to be respected in close proximity to the roads. There are great areas to see too, Lymington Quay and Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, all worth a visit.

Excellent visitors centre but unfortunately due to be closed by the council imminently in cost cutting exercise - will be to the detriment of visitors who like a centre to ask questions and find out more personalised and detailed information than can often be found on the internet.

This is a place for the bucket list because it is so beautiful and peaceful. I love walking through the trees, occasionally straying off the path down a little mud track.

Lovely warm welcome by two ladies clearly in love with promoting the New Forest. Excellent information and, unusually for such places, more quality available than tat. Went in for a map, left with postcards and a bracelet.
