Brogdale Collections was established as a charity to work with the curator chosen by DEFRA. Brogdale Collections has managed visitor access to the NFC in partnership with the University of Reading, since the start of their curation in 2008. The Charity offers a range of opportunities for the public to use the collections as an educational resource including Daily Guided Tours (April - November), Fruit Days, Festivals and Key Stage 1 & 2 Education Days.

once this place was a Government concern in the Cold War. Bing part of the UK's MAFF. ( Ministry of Aggriculture, Fishery's and Food). Prince Charles saved it as a national treasure..Now thriving its well worth a Visit.

We took a guided tour around the collection and admired and tasted many apples and pears as well as looking at the currants and gooseberry bushes. Our guide was friendly and informative and we spent a couple of hours around the fruit collection. Walking boots...More

I travel all the way from Essex just for their amazing bacon. They persuaded me to get some lamb too. It’s a great butchers, the other shops are nice but the butchers are best and great staff too.
