I went to Capstone today for the first time, I was totally amazed how clean and tidy it was. There is a large car park, where parking is free. On entering the park you first see the lower section. In this section there is a lake with plenty of wildlife in and on it. We saw various ducks, swans and... More

Excellent place for young children to play safely. Some interesting rides, all well maintained. Took a walk around the lake, lovely and clean as was the cafe.

It can be a nice place to visit for a family or just a walk away from buildings. The only slight downside is that during the summer holidays the areas near the lake can be overrun with parents and kids who have no problem with appalling behavior and foul language at the top of their voices. Everywhere else is fine.

Capstone is made up of two main areas - the upper park which is really good for people walking dogs, there are a couple of gentle hills and some good views. The lower park is around the lake, there is also access to the play area and café. The walk is nice and gentle and you do get to see... More

This place used to be great when eldest children were young. Animal to pet. Interesting walks and a nice place to have a snack. Unfortunately got rid of animals. Cafe standard chips , chips, nuggets and chips kind of menu. Capstone park is now just a " may as well" kind of place as opposed to a go to destination.... More

A flat walk around the pond to see how many different species of birds ring your camera for scenic shots good for old folk young lovers and middle age and a wonderful place for children's scooters and bikes. And then the playground for children .A cafe for a refreshing drink and snack. And then the glories walk across the hills... More

Alovely place to go and walk right round the lake and watch the ducks swimming. Such a peaceful setting. There is also a cafe where you can grab a cuppa and a snack and sit and have a rest. Free easy parking too

Just went for a quick walk, with friends around capstone lake. Plenty of parking to be had. Directions to different areas well marked out. Lake area was for us today did have a pram so needed it flat. For being so close to town remains fairly quite a bonus. Such peaceful location, plenty of space to wind down. Even wind... More
