Wide expanses of gardens with separate garden "rooms". Beautiful selection of plant colors and textures, even in late autumn. Most plants are labeled, which was nice. Nice kitchen garden. Beautiful dahlias, all different kinds and colors. A wonderful garden to visit!

I was taken to view these gardens by friends and can only say how wonderful they are. Such love must go into looking after all the plants and flowers of nearly 4 acres. I think it is somewhere that you can visit at any time...More

I have only visited the gardens twice - Spring and late Summer. What a difference. The commitment to keep this garden at its peak through the seasons is outstanding. I was shaken by the difference a new season makes - and the number of species...More

The gardens were recommended but I have to say they were not as good as expected in September. The backdrop of the house is good and the lawns well kept, but the garden looks over planted in many places, and lacks overall form and structure....More

We visited in September as part of an afternoon tea experience. The gardens are extensive and lovely to stroll around in peace. The gardens were devastated by flooding a few years ago and they have taken the opportunity to make them even more interesting. So...More

What a beautiful garden. Visited towards end of August when the dahlias were at their best. Many interesting "rooms" each with their own identity Overall the garden is beautifully kept and a credit to the Head Gardener and his team. We will visit again. Had...More

A bit disappointed! The gardens are beautifully planned out with a good selection of plants and colours, but it felt neglected, and let down the standard of the hotel. Seemed they were relying on tatty seed heads to provide "structure planting", lake needs a good...More

I found this garden a real delight, with numerous smaller gardens contained in a larger whole. Plantings were creatively done and well maintained, with lots of flowers on display in the borders. The many large trees were beautiful, including an allee of poplars that was...More

Yes, as long as they're on a lead. Also there is a water bowl in the potting shed/diy tea room for dogs too
