If you want a quiet, peaceful afternoon, away from all the hustle and bustle of other beaches, then this is the place to go. Lovely scenery, a stroll past the bird observatory and a quiet, secluded beach.

After paying a man to enter the bay estate you can then head towards the beach via passing some impressive dwellings. The beach is good with plenty of sand showing at low tide. If paddling is your bag expect a long walk to the surf. Now if your a fishing bod leave your rod in the car as there is... More

I was quietly surprised by this wonderful space very peaceful place. not many people and a huge shingle beach landscape that s very expansive. I was surprised by the toll charge of 7 pounds, but definitely worth if for the serenity and surroundings.

I read a bad review insulting the staff on the tolls of sandwich bay beach and I totally disagree! Malcolm & Andy are 2 lovely guys who don't deserve the abuse they sometimes get, they are only doing a job after all. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of Ramsgate. It's a very clean beach and dog friendly... More

Have been coming here since I was a child, and now come with my children. There is a toll of £7.00, which is very good. You are able to drive onto the beach and park for the day. Dog came too. It is a stoney beach. The water was great. You need to bring everything with you as there are... More

A great spot for anyone looking for some space (depending on the day/time you go) and ideal location for a (responsible) beach barbeque. There is a toll charge to visit during the day but access is free in the evenings after the booths shut. You can get here either from Sandwich (beyond St Georges Golf Club) or from Deal on... More

We visited sandwich bay recently and was very disappointed at the ridiculous fee to pay just to get to the beach! It is not clearly stated that a whopping £7 would have to be paid to use the road that leads to the bay! Once there it is lovely and quite but if you haven't got much to carry then... More

It was very easy to get to the beach, the toll is manned and cost £7 for a car. Parking is right next to the shingle beach and there are 2 toilet blocks by the car parking (the toilets are very basic though). Lovely shingle beach with some sand but bring shoes as you'll need them to get across the... More

But I'm biased as I live 200 metres away. Every season had a different mood. OK the sea is not always blue green - the moody greys are just as good. The sky is open and if you're keen eyed and lucky you will see seals and France and hear the strident oystercatchers. Never crowded - the shingle means that... More

As there is a charge of £7:50 to drive your car into the Bay Area and as there are no facilities available there I feel that this fee is not justified, so I suggest you park up near by and walk the few hundred yards to the beach and save yourself a small fortune. If you go at low tide... More
